Why “without CAD” is the norm
Very few clients have a finished, print-ready 3D model of their object. Existing buildings often survive only as old submission plans. Machines are available as 2D drawings. And a favourite object intended as a gift may exist only as a photo. Making a CAD file a prerequisite would rule out most projects. That is why we work differently.
The reconstruction process in five steps
1. Review the data
We check what is available: plans, drawings, photos, dimensions. In doing so, we establish which information is reliable and where the gaps are. The result is a clear assessment of feasibility, effort and fixed price — free of charge and with no obligation.
2. Build the dimensional framework
From the reliable dimensions, we create a scale base framework: overall dimensions, heights, main axes. This framework anchors the model at the correct scale and prevents errors from propagating.
3. Reconstruct the geometry
Now the actual 3D geometry takes shape. Plans provide the exact contours, photos the proportions and details. Where a piece of information is missing, we derive it from references and proportions — for example, the height of a window from the known storey height.
4. Confirm the assumptions
We mark critical assumptions transparently and present them to you. You can see where we have interpreted, and you either approve or correct them. That way there are no surprises — you stay in control of the result.
5. Make it print-ready
The approved model is optimised for 3D printing: wall thicknesses, stability, the ability to disassemble, colours. After that come printing, finishing and delivery.
